New Chief of Operations Role Created Signifies Another Step to Achieving SMS’s growth and development Plans
SMS (www.smselectronics.co.uk), a UK based Manufacturing Services Provider (MSP) announced the appointment of Graham Shaw as the company’s Chief of Operations (COO). Mr. Shaw brings more than 40 years of experience senior management in the Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) industry and will play a strategic role in positioning SMS as a technological leader within the market and industries that they serve.
Mr. Shaw assumes this position from CEO Andrew Maddock, who will continue to focus on the continued growth and strategic expansion of SMS. Mr. Shaw joined SMS from Celestica, where, he was responsible for production and organisational procedures to increase profitability.

About Graham Shaw
Mr. Shaw has worked within the EMS industry for 40 years with Tier One companies such as General Electric and Celestica. Having completed many Engineering and Operational management roles within the UK, Mr. Shaw has also utilized his extensive experience to manage the installation and development of the Engineering infrastructure within two new sites in Czech Republic, followed by a period in Romania, assisting with the development and installation of equipment and processes to exceed demanding customer requirements. Customers included Dell, Panasonic, Samsung, IBM, RIM and BSkyB.
The time Mr. Shaw spent working with Tier One Original Equipment Makers (OEMs) has led to a very good understanding and expertise of how to prepare for and manage customers manufacturing expectations to ensure the most demanding quality and productivity requirements are achieved.
